Starjack
DJ Starjack is a pretty solid electro, house, dance DJ. He has created some solid mashups, and mixes over the past couple months. Check out his site for booking.
1 MILLION WATTZ OF BASS
I have not heard a lot of songs on this mix…which pisses me off because they are really good songs, without a track list :(. I’m working on getting the track list from Starjack soon and uploading it. This mix will have you dancing throughout the entire set.
Pon de One House Mafia
Great mashup of Pon De Floor vs One vs Power. I actually was really surprised to see Power thrown into this mashup, but it works smoothly. This mashup is still mostly intended to be played as a variation of One but it does its job.
Step Into Amsterdam
I still wouldn’t give Amsterdam play time in a club (me personally) but this is still a solid remix of two good songs.
My Sik Uncle – 500 Days of Weezy

Every year I at least hear 1 amazing mashup album. Apparently there was a really well-made album mashing B.I.G. with XX…I’ll get back to you on that one. But for now we are talking about 500 Days of Weezy. I will tell you right now…I DO NOT LIKE LIL WAYNE. Every once in a while he comes out with something I don’t mind, but 99% of the time I don’t like him. Well this album is great regardless. My Sik Uncle is going places after creating an album like this (if he hasn’t already been).

Move It Africa (Garebear Bootleg) (Intro)
A mashup I made using Douster’s King of Africa with Reel 2 Real’s I like To Move it. I was fooling around one day mixing to myself live when I thought this is actually a pretty good mashup and should be a full song. So check it out.
I’m Gladiator, I Rock (Garebear Bootleg Remix)
Yet another mashup I made while screwing around. This one has Steve Aoki & DJ AM’s remix of AutoErotique’s Gladiator against The Cool Kids’ I’m Mikey, I Rock. They are completely different genres and it surprised me how well it worked together.
Major Afro The Train Gecko (Garebear Bootleg Remix)
Gecko The Train Engine (Garebear Bootleg Remix)
Those last two remixes I was actually making alongside each other at the same time. I first made Gecko The Train Engine, until I decided to make it a little more mainstream by adding Major Lazer to the track. Both remixes incorporate Mr. Blinks’ Gecko and Thomas the Tank Engine, while Major Afro…adds Afrojack’s remix of Pon De Floor.
Any Way You Feel (Garebear Bootleg Remix)
A remix I made when this song was a hit, thought it was very fitting.
Memories (Garebear DJ Battle Edit)
A 9.5 min long version of David Guetta’s hit Memories. This song may be seeing it’s last days as a club hit, but this version definitely will appeal to those who are sick of it. I cannot recall how many versions are in this edit, but there’s at least 5 different versions, including the original, Armand Van Helden, Bingo Players, Leo Lotsaless, etc. I really enjoyed making this edit because it was one of my first to try and incorporate a bunch of songs into one seamlessly.

Swedish House Mafia – One(Various Mixes)
This song definitely has been rocking clubs all over the world for the past few months, so naturally I’m going to blog about it. Naturally I think the original version was great, but progressively as new versions came out I tended to favor them as the older ones got…old.
One (Your Name) (ft. Pharrell)
First on the list is not the original, but the first mix in which SHM added vocals to their already released track by adding Pharrell. I definitely prefer vocals in my house/electro tracks so this was a huge bonus to an already great track.
I Heard It Through ONE (Keven Le Fonque Mash-Up) (ft. Marvin Gaye)
Second this mashup came out of NOWHERE. To mash Marvin Gaye with SHM was just pure genius, at first I thought it was going to sound corny but the two songs actually work fairly well together. Check out this Mashup
Show One Love (Hardwell Did It Again Bootleg)
Next up is Hardwell’s remix. This is not a direct remix of One but it implements the exact same beginning and instrument as the original song. But because this is Hardwell he naturally put a twist on this track by making this song sound like Show Me Love by Robin S. This track will definitely surprise people (in a good way) if they are expecting One. Very clever remix/bootleg, makes sense why it’s called the “Did It Again Bootleg”
One (Spencer and Hill Remix)
Yeah, I still have more versions to post. This one was by Spencer & Hill. Don’t be fooled, at first it sounds like the exact same version as Your Name, but it turns into a…I guess you can describe it as dark/deep house track. This is in fact the one of the only remixes that include the vocals so I’m really liking this version. Check it out
One (Congorock Remix)
This version is definitely my favorite at the moment. It has been receiving attention everywhere, I believe Chuckie used this one in his EDC ’10 set. Definitely the most intense out of them so far, and easily a favorite at the clubs. The only version that is going to top this one is the Chewy Chocolate Cookies remix once that is released.

Eminem – Without Me (DJ Cosmik Mashup)
Nice remix of Eminem’s old hit Without Me. Honestly I’m am not sure what it was originally mashed up with, but I’ll post an update if I can find the song. But regardless it is a sick remix, and I couldn’t see myself playing either separately at a club.
DJs From Mars Alien Selection May ’10
DJs From Mars
DJs From Mars Alien Selection for May is a very well put together mix of songs. What is so great about these mixes is that it not only includes a nice selection of remixes from other DJs but it also includes the martians own personal remixes that they have not released. So unless if you see these guys live these selections are usually the only place you can listen in to these remixes. One hit song is their Move Your Body 2010 remix which is an amazing remix and has been for sale for a bit now, this song has been released on several other DJ’s mixes such as DJRi’s iClub mixes. To some up this review, if you are a fellow DJ or just someone that loves to listen to club bangers you gotta check out DJs From Mars monthly selections, they are always a great place to hear new remixes.

Heads Will On The Run – Yeah Yeah Yeahs vs De Bos

Been listening to this remix for the past few days now and the Club Banditz Private edit is by far the best interpretation of it. I noticed that the other edits only included the hook of Heads Will Roll with very little vocals. I personally like vocals to be in all the songs I play so this edit was perfect because it included a verse and a vocal build-up. Check out Club Banditz on their facebook page, they have solid mashups/edits that they post.
